Since opening our doors in 2010, we have served the Tremont and downtown Cleveland neighborhoods with a safe & secure learning environment where students are expected and able to succeed. Dr. Veda Giles-Weeks, Upper Campus Principal (9-12)

Dr. Giles-Weeks joined NEO in 2014 with over 20 years of experience as a principal and educator. She graduated from Howard University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, and her Principal Licensure from John Carroll. She went on to receive her Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. She has dedicated her career to improving education in urban areas.

Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by the Ohio Council of Community Schools (OCCS) which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.
