About our school

Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School is a public charter school serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood at 2280 Professor Ave. Ohio grades every public school in the state, and Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School earned 4 stars for student progress — meaning the students here are moving forward faster than the state expected.
This is a neighborhood school. It’s built for the students who live closest to it — children growing up right here in Cleveland. It isn’t a magnet program you have to apply for or a selective school that picks who gets in. It’s a school built for this community, where your child’s teachers see the same streets, know the same context, and work with students whose lives look like your child’s life. That proximity isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the method.
The school's academic program is built around individualized instruction and a college-prep track — with advanced STEM electives starting in the upper grades — so students aren't just passing tests. They're building the habits and skills that carry through high school and beyond.
It’s a publicly funded school. No tuition. No fees. Nothing out of pocket for families.
- Free breakfast and lunch every school day
